Founded in Lye in (2008), AZCN has grown to work with our target population in the adjoining areas of Stourbridge and Halesowen within Dudley borough. Our mission is to promote for the benefit of the community, in particular but not exclusively amongst Asian women, children, young adults and their families through realising the following objectives.
• the promotion of social inclusion by preventing them from becoming socially excluded, relieving their needs, and assisting them to integrate into society.
• the advancement of education and training
• the relief of poverty and sickness
• the preservation and protection of good health; and
• the provision of recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life.
For the purpose of this clause ‘socially excluded’ means being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one of more of the following factors: unemployment; financial hardship; youth or old age; ill health (physical or mental); substance abuse or dependency including alcohol and drugs; discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion, belief, creed, sexual orientation or gender re-assignment; poor educational or skills attainment; relationship and family breakdown; poor housing (that is housing that does not meet basic habitable standards; crime (either as a victim of crime or as an offender rehabilitating into society).

Apni Zaroorat Community Networks aims to improve the quality of life of women, young people and their families by reducing isolation, encouraging active participation and providing information and support. In partnership with others, we aim to target social need and build the capacity of local women and young people through providing themed events/activities. We endeavour to encourage social action and active citizenship as a result of the following activities;
• Educational, Training & Skills Development courses
• Sewing & Textiles, Beauty Therapy, Healthy Cooking, Outings, Residentials and Social Groups
• Youth Activities
• Volunteering Opportunities
• Health Promotion
• Mental Health & Well Being
• A safe, women-only environment
• Referrals to partner organisation
