Fixers are young people that see something wrong. Or have had an experience, have suffered or have seen someone else suffer ? and want to do something about it. Or share it with other people. We have worked with young people on hundreds of topics. From Bullying to Eating Disorders, Mental Health to Social Activities. The issue that we work on comes from the young people involved, and is important to them as an individual or as a group. We work with young people to create a high quality resource ? this could be anything from a short film, magazine, website, poster, phone app, flash mob, community event, the list is endless ? the resource depends on what the young people involved want to do and the message that they want to send out. We then encourage Fixers to use that resource to create change or have an impact in their community, borough or across the UK. As long as their project has an impact on at least one other person, then their project has been a success. Fixers work with any young person, 16-25, across the UK so long as they are passionate about what there doing. We meet young people at a time and place which is suitable to them, in public spaces, youth centres, community halls and coffee shops to work on their campaigns. This opportunity is not time-limited and may take several months to complete from start to finish, with meetings taking place periodically with a member of the Fixers Staff Team.
